Please note these titles are the period form and in no way mean to denote the individual has gained the Peerage title of Master, as rank in the SCA.

Unto Seaman and able bodied Landsman, who wish to acquire Riches and Honor, are invited to repair on board The Gardian, Privateer & Merchant ship, now laying in Innilgard Port; mounting fourteen Carriage Guns, with Carronades, swivels, &c. bound on a Cruize to the Southward for four Months against the all Lochac's enemies, and then to return to this Harbour.

All volunteers will be received on board the said ship or by Lady Katerina da Brescia at her rendezvous at The First Mate's Tourney on 19th September, where they will meet with all due encouragement, and the best treatment; Proper Advance will be given being one 'Aztec gold'.
Here will be chosen, by right of Rapier combat, the ship's First Mate, whose duty is to protect the Ship, it's crew and it's Captain. It is also the First Mate's duty to organise next year's tourney.
