Lady Katerina was the autocrat with help
from many wonderful gentles. It was a potluck dessert revel with
the most amazing and varied period desserts. It was so hard to
choose what to eat first!
Arts and sciences competitions were:
- chess champion,
- best garb - purple and/or silver/white
theme
- best dancer - ballo duo fiore
The winners are below.
(Right) Pomegranates, ornages,
lemons, peaches, apples, grapes, cheeses......

We had rose cordial,
sacanjabin (sp?), and chocolatl (very late period Aztec/spanish
chocolate drink)
There were sugared flowers - rose petals
and violets and yummy almond toffees. I didn't know you could do
so many things with almonds!

The final of the chess
championship was fought by Lord Dafydd Walraven and William
MacKenzie. William was victorious
Lady Katerina won the A&S dancing
competition, by one point!, with a recommendation for Lady
Magdelena. (Left)
