CASA VIOLA - EVENTS ATTENDED IN 2008

This year we did not get as pictorial records of events, as we would like.

Picnic on the Green.
16th February. Innilgardians gathered to celebrate the end of the harvest with tourney and games. The Baronial Rapier Champion was also decided on this day.

Dafydd fighters Lord Gregory with daggers Cricket: I got to bowl (and even hit some runs) Dafydd recieved the Silver Frett - the Baronial award for courtesy.

Baronial Changeover, April
Baron Drake and Baroness Blodeuwedd stepped down as Baron and Baroness. We celebrated the investing of Baron Aylwin and Baroness Ingerith.

Gummeracha Medieval Fare, May
This is the second Demo held at Gummeracha. It reminds me of the 'good old days' when we did demos at Birdwood - a really nice family atmosphere.
Casa Viola members: Lord William, Lord Dafydd, Morgan and myself  made the trip into the hills to help.
Lord Dafydd and Morgan check out the other displays and have some fun between rapier demonstrations. Her Ladyship Katerina displays how to make woven buttons. Lord William also was part of the Rapier display. During one break he lined up for ice-cream!

Innilgard Winter Collegium, August.
This year Collegium was only a one day event. Unfortunately it was not in garb. However, Dafydd and I donned some rapier armour to have a go. Casa Viola members, Lord Dafydd, Morgan, Lord William and myself attended. We also had the pleasure of Vicontessa Lucrezia attending, after returning from Morrocco.

Foundation Day Picnic, November, 2008
Vicontessa Lucrezia attends her last Lochac event before emmigrating to Glasgow. Lord William retires as a Huscarl and becomes a Courtier of Inniglard. Lord Dafydd, Morgan,  and  many Innilgardians feed the ducks..
